Temporary facilities are tents and simple huts mounted on runners to be used for organized day visits and overnight stays for tourists.

The Governor has granted 13 permits for the winter season 2023, and when processing the applications, we have assessed the impact on the landscape, fauna, other use of the area and the overall burden that the facilities and activities cause on Svalbard's nature.
