All email inquiries to the Governor are directed to company mail. This also applies to inquiries to the individual case officer.

Enquiries received by the Governor must be recorded, ref. section 10 of the Freedom of Information Act. This means that most of the enquiries sent to the Governor will appear in the public mail journal. All enquiries are assessed in relation to freedom of information and confidential information is always protected. You can find our electronic mail journal on eInnsyn. The right to access mail journals on the internet is set out in the Freedom of Information Act. This means that your enquiry to the Governor may be discussed, quoted or reproduced in its entirety in the media.

The Governor of Svalbard employs technical security measures to combat viruses and spam. The security measures can result in emails that do not contain a virus and that are not spam being stopped.
