Passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence
Applications for passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence are processed by the Governor of Svalbard. The processing time is up to four weeks.

To drive passenger transport for a fee, you must bring a valid driver's license with you along with the passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence.
The requirements for obtaining a passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence are:
- Applicants must be at least 20 years old
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license
- Applicants must document good conduct
Foreign citizens who cannot document a longer period of residence on Svalbard or the mainland must submit a certificate of good conduct from their home country.
The passenger carrying vehicle driver’s licence is issued for a duration of five years and is valid for Longyearbyen.
