High avalanche danger in the west on Wednesday 15 April
NVE reports danger level 4 – high avalanche danger in the Svalbard West region for Wednesday 15 April. There is no increased avalanche danger in Longyearbyen itself according to Skred AS.

Varsom.no reports that dry and wet slab avalanches will break loose on their own due to locally heavy rainfall, wind and mild weather in the Svalbard West region. Mild weather limit at approximately 400 m above sea level. Avoid avalanche terrain.
