Great avalanche danger in Svalbard on Sunday
NVE reports that on Sunday 9 April there is a high risk of avalanches - danger level 4 - in the region of Svalbard west and Svalbard south.

An increase in wind will lead to a large amount of wind transported snow. Naturally triggered avalanches are likely. Avalanches might also be triggered by snowmobiles or skiers. People are encouraged to avoid all avalanche terrain.
