Meat and meat products
It is not permitted to import meat and meat products from Svalbard to the mainland. Game meat from hunting in Svalbard is exempt from the ban under certain conditions.

The ban on importing meat and meat products from Svalbard to the mainland also applies to meat that can be bought in the shops.
Exceptions to the ban have been made for game meat from hunting in Svalbard. Each person is permitted to take up to five kilos of game meat with them.
