Hunting proficiency test
In order to hunt in Svalbard, you must have completed the mandatory hunting proficiency course and passed the hunting proficiency test. The Governor of Svalbard organises the hunting proficiency exam annually. The Governor announces the date, time and location for the test once this is arranged.
Those who have completed the mandatory hunting proficiency course and paid the test fee can register themselves for the test. The NOK 280 test fee must be paid at the counter at The Governor of Svalbard and must be paid before registering for the test.
Current candidates are required to register themselves as hunting proficiency test candidates at www.jegerproveeksamen.no, and then also sign up for the test via this site.
